I want to buy a new computer or tablet, but I am confused.......

I need to use the device for work, which means word, excel, etc.....

My question can a tablet handle this internally or just "in the cloud"?

Sorry if this subject has been discussed before, this is my 1st post.......THANKS

Word, Excel means a Windows tablet.

There is no other tablet that runs those apps. And it's internal for those models.

Seems odd to go tablet form if you want to run Word, Excel as wouldn't you need a keyboard and then it's a laptop?

Why a tablet?

If you're going to type a lot, don't get a tablet...

On my iPad I have used Quickoffice from the app store for the last year. It is not word but I have found it to be very intuitive and easy to use. It also integrates with your Dropbox App, so I have been able to do everything on the go with the iPad.
