Tab Key Not working properly

by jbrown35 / November 13, 2003 1:15 PM PST

Help my tab key is now doing weird things. When I hit the tab key it switches to another window if one is open. If one isn't open it does nothing.

Please help me fix this. I do bookeeping and use the tab key all the time to switch between fields.

it sounds as if you might have accessability options turned on. check in Control Panel|Accessability to see what happens. also, check in another application to see what happens. it wouldn't hurt to scan for a virus either.

Tab key weird

The alt key is probably stuck. It's happened to me twice. Jiggle it a little is all. A lot cheaper and easier than trying a new keyboard.

by ravindrana / January 18, 2011 7:07 PM PST

Hi,

Its Indeed a Keyboard Layout Issue.

if type(Key.ENTER) is not working, then try

type("\n")

Same way, for TAB, its \t
