I can take great HD videos with my Sony HDR SR1 Handycam and they play back cleanly from the camera to my HD flat screen LCD via cable. However, after I transfer them to my computer hard drive and play them back on my laptop with the Sony utility, a one inch static band appears across the bottom of the image.
Have the files become corrupted upon downloading?
Is it because my laptop can't handle HD resolution?
Is it because my laptop has an older, slower processor or video card?
I hope that I haven't permanently corrupted these files!
