The turboboost function is on by default on all I 5 and I 7 processors. This is a dynamic adjustement which takes place that varies according to the app you are running, temp of the processor, etc. It isnt something that is manually turned on and off.
It can be turned off usually in the bios but it is not recommended.
Hi I recently purchased the Sony VAIO F Series Black w/ Core i7-720QM, 4GB, 500GB, Blu-ray Combo, 16.4in, GeForce 310M, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit and I was wondering how I am able to make it go from 1.60 GHZ to the 2.80GHZ with the turbo boost. Thanks.
