Sony NW-HD5 vs. Creative Zen Vision: M vs. other?

by rotiart19 / April 27, 2006 5:14 AM PDT

I am looking for the best sounding mp3 player and do not care about other features other than playing mp3s. My mp3 collection is all high quality VBR and I have Shure E2c headphones, ao all I need now is an excellent sounding player. I'm thinking of buying a new in package Sony NW-HD5 off of e-bay or a new Creative Zen Vision: M. Any suggestions or other factors that I should take into account? Other mp3 players even? Thanks.

Out of those two I'd choose the Sony NW-HD5, but overall I'd choose a cowon player. Cowons are known for their wonderful sound quality.

ROFL wait the front page it says that the NW-HD5 had best sound quality =\ Well I hear the interface is good too, and its suppodly good looking and small. It seems just right for you.

There is no other mp3 player that gives you a better sound with a best possible picture in the video than the Zen Vision M. It's just a fact now! The sony nw-hd5 doesn't even have a equalizer for the sound nor does it support video. So I'm really unsure why it's even fair to compare these two mp3 players. The only mp3 you should ever try and compare the Zen vision m to is the 5G ipod, but it still beats that also in video quality and sound quality. So bottom line is...if you want the best the Zen vision M is it.

He wasn't even asking about video, he was asking about "best sounding" meaning the best audio sound that comes out.

I purchased a Creative Zen Vison: M and had it for a while, and it doesen't meet what your looking for. I suggest the Sony still.
