Studio 1737 keyboard.

Most likely the keyboard is defective. If under warranty, call Dell for a replacement. If not, the keyboard is inexpensive from sellers on e-Bay. Replacement is not difficult.

my cat walked on my keyboard earlier today and now the keys only work when hitting shift. obviously it's not a manufacturers defect. anyone else have some thoughts on how to fix this????

Probably need a new keyboard. If under warranty, call Dell. A cat (unless it's like our old one that netted at 20#!)shouldn't be able to break the keyboard. It's also possible that the plug from the keyboard to the PC is slightly loose.

Cool bug!

I can only guess there is some addon to the browsers that are wrecking havoc.

At least I don't agree it's a hardware issue. Sorry but I can't see from here what those addons are.

I disabled the ms office 2010 plugins from both browsers and tada...c v h keys working fine.

Sorry for hijacking your thread FLASHR1999, but disabling the addon worked for me.
