Software w/ split screen ability?

by Syrinx77 / April 25, 2013 9:43 PM PDT

For an hp laptop & I'm looking for a decent free or inexpensive program that features (among other things) the ability to show 2 or more clips of video simultaneously.
Basically, something that's a step or two above Windows Movie Maker. Thanks for any advice.

I have such in surveillance video systems but those are custom jobs in the 5 and 6 figure range. VLC Player can play multiple files each in their own app copy but I fear you want something else.

What I wanna do is *create* a video in which I can show at least 2 different clips at once.
