Snow Leopard & Printing..A solution

by mrmacfixit Forum moderator / September 3, 2009 10:52 AM PDT

If you have lost the ability to print to a network connected printer, try this advice from Tom Healy:

?Print a SelfTest/Configuration page
?The second page, under Protocol Information should list TCP/IP status as Ready and list the IP address of the printer as configured by DHCP.
?Go to Print & Fax and click on the Add button.
?Choose IP with the HP JetDirect-Socket.
?Enter the IP address you found above. If the computer finds the printer, it will automatically select the network printer.
?Add the printer.
?Then, open the print queue and run a test page.
