She didn't have a clue or naive

by Willy / May 1, 2013 3:36 AM PDT

i saw a little bit of the interview on TV last night. Even now, it appears that Amanda is simply not allowing what happened to sink-in. Or rather at the time it appears that whatever actions she took were counter to what many may have expected to see. At the same time the media may have gotten too involved and "yellowed" it up for the news channel. Listening to her story does give doubt to her creditably. However, no one can say how they would react upon news that they were that close to such a crime yet not be the one that did it. It looks like the world was out to get her and she supplied the ammo to do it though. It seems a police checklist of sorts was being done and not too many were on the plus side, if you start to make records of it all. After all, this how a case is made and the gears of the legal system grinds away. What were you thoughts? Willy Happy

So why the drama of the opening...
by Steven Haninger / May 1, 2013 4:04 AM PDT

...the music and the voice of the man speaking as if this was an episode of Twilight Zone? My bet would be that, if the story didn't have an underlying sexual theme, the media wouldn't bother with it and Ms. Sawyer would be looking for another story to cover.

Well, the unfounded arrest and detention of any American
by Ziks511 / May 1, 2013 8:55 AM PDT

for any reason would excite a lot of press. I watched a BBC news programme some months ago on this subject and the Italian prosecutor was notorious for his endless questioning of suspects and for extracting confessions which later were found to be coerced and false. He's still the prosecutor there, and he still maintains that he only questioned her for 20 minutes, not the 10 continuous hours which the interrogation logs show, and without sleep, rest, the ability to leave her chair and without food and water. Even the Brits whose national was the victim of the attack don't think Amanda Knox did it. And there was a better suspect available from the very beginning, but the Prosecutor wanted a big newspaper story, and so went after Amanda Knox and her brand new Italian boyfriend.

The good news, her Italian boyfriend of only a few days never abandoned her, never said she was responsible (which might have kept him out of jail) and always maintained their innocence while in jail.

Why the American Consulate didn't do more is a question yet to be answered.

Tv timing
by Willy / May 1, 2013 1:21 PM PDT

Even though her release is relatively recent, it certainly got on TV here. I would have thought this was all old news, but nope let the media drag it out some more. It's always nice to explain your side of the story in a timely fashion.

Well, at least she's didn't cross a certain border and got arrested as a spy. -----Willy Happy

We'd just have told them, "You can keep him." Wink
