Shared itunes account - specific device

Using a shared itunes account for multiple iphones and ipads, is it possible to determine which device/line downloaded a particular app?

Not really,

the iTunes store account only tracks the username and password of the account holder.

Other people using that name and address are counted as the account holder.

Shared accounts are not really a way to go
