As this OS gets a little crusty around the edges and the machine gets older I find I other have to DO THIS -> http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11319_7-6240575-1.html
And take Grif's advice FROM HERE -> http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6122_102-0.html?messageID=2968150&tag=forums06;posts#2968150
AVG is fine but far from enough protection today.
And to complete this, NOT ALL PROCESSES CAN BE CLOSED via Task Manager. Why this is would require a far longer answer.
Session controller .dlcx file won't close when shutting down Windows XP AND there are about 33 processes that won't close in task manager - the only way I can shut down is to pull the plug - any ideas? Another symptom is that print jobs occasionally get stuck and won't delete or cancel. My computer and printer are Dell. Have done all MS updates and Dell updates. Have AVG free virus protection.
