Connect the flash drive to the laptop (that gives you the list of options). Open My Computer. Right click the flash drive>Properties. Click the Autoplay tab. First, select Mixed Content. Click "Select an action to perform:" and the "Open folder to view files". Then click OK.
I have two laptops running under Windows XP. When I insert my flash drive into the USB port of one laptop, a window opens that gives me a listing of all the files on the flash drive. On the other laptop, when I do the same thing, a window opens every time that persents several actions that can be taken, and I have to select the option to open Windows Explorer to view the files on the drive.
I don't know how the computers are configured differently, but I'd like to see the file listing automatically every time I insert the flash drive in either laptop. How do I change the settings on the second laptop to accomplish that?
