Resolved Question

scheduling windows 8 updates

by Needssomehelp / January 6, 2013 11:05 AM PST

Regarding Windows 8 & scheduling windows updates: I checked the box to allow scheduled maintenance to wakeup my computer at the scheduled time of 3 a.m.
Does this work when I shutdown my computer, or do I need to leave it in sleep mode???

You need to have it in sleep mode.

If you completely shut your computer down, it's not going to be waked up by anything except pushing the power button, so use sleep mode.

Good luck.
