The battery life on these remotes isn't as good as a traditional remote since the QWERTY side uses the Bluetooth connection to communicate with the TV. However, a simple thing you can do to improve the battery life is to leave the remote with the standard-remote side face up with not in use. If memory serves, this leaves the Bluetooth in a standby mode, which uses less power.
I have two Samsung UN60D8000YFXZA 60" LED TV that I enjoy very much. The only issues I have is the remote. The battery life on the remote is terrible and short. I have had to replace the battery on an average of every 10-14 days (and I do not use the remote often)
FYI, both remotes:
1) model :RMC-OTD1
2) model code :RMC-OTD1AP2/ZA
I already have Samsung replace both remote once and the problem still exist.
Does anyone have the same problem with the remote?
Is it a design problme with the remote?
Thanks for your help
