Question

Samsung ue50es6300 fuzzy/noise HD picture

by Ryan1982g / April 26, 2013 9:05 AM PDT

My Samsung ue50es6300 tv has a fuzzy/noise picture while watching some HD movies. It looks really bad on some HD movies like "the walking dead" and "300" while on other movies the noise does not appear at all.

In some scenes its not too bad but in other scenes its terrible and kind of looks like a blizzard of tiny particles moving on my screen.

I've tried adjusting the noise settings on my tv but it does not make much difference. I can only really get rid of it by adjusting the sharpness level to 0 which makes the picture look really dull and bad.

I have also tried adjusting settings on my graphics card and media player but it doesn't make much difference. I also played the HD movie on my PS3 to make sure it wasn't my PC causing the problem but it had the same effect.

Is my television faulty or can it be fixed?

Before messing with the TV - try a new HDMI cable. Some cables do not support the latest specs for HD and audio. They even have versions associated with them. Try borrowing a cable from a friend to see if that helps.
