Christmas is near and I worked my but off to get around $2000 to buy the Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop and the new Samsung 512GB SSD 830 Series. I've been doing some research here and there and posting threads like if normal SSD's will fit into the laptop and so on. But I hear this new SSD is thinner and way faster than the previous models. And all about SATA III thing I just dont understand. I just wanted to know if anyone here knew if the new Samsung 512GB SSD 830 series fits into the laptop. This present is for my Dad who's an architect and travels alot. He currently has a Dell 1555 (from 2008 ) and I want to get him a laptop that can do his work while traveling. And I wanted to remove the HDD to an SSD so he can have a faster computer.
