Samsung series 6 LED TV wireless internet connection

I have a Samsung series 6 smart TV and I hooked up a Belkin router so that I may enjoy watching Netflix and other things in the Smart section of my TV. I have a Samsung wireless LAN adapter and I have successfully connected to the internet through the TV. Here is the problem, whenever I try to view anything that is on the internet through the smart window it says I am not connected to the internet. I have run the checks the TV has and it always says I am connected to the internet but yet I still can't open any internet based apps. The router is only 12 ft away and all other devices pick it up fine. Anyone else have this issue or know what I can try to fix it?

The TV model # is UN46D6050TF the LAN serial # is WIS09ABGN

Over on the router.

For a test, always turn off the router firewall.

Also, my new spiffy router with it's latest firmware failed with my new spiffy gear. What a stumper. What was it? I had to do a little search and others had issues too. I won't reveal the cure for that since mine was not a Belkin but it was like many others that other devices worked, but not the new ones.

That could confuse folk and make them think it's the new spiffy device at fault.
