by mira_k / October 7, 2009 5:01 AM PDT

Hi,

I have Samsung plasma TV, model PS50q97hd. The problem that appears recently is colour bluring in yellow or pink. I am not sure that i can explain exactly the problem, and i`ve made a picture of it. I will try to give link to the picture.

Thanks in advance, M

mira_k,

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to diagnose those sorts of problems. While I can suspect(!) that it may an electronics issue rather than the panel, being able to diagnose it properly takes a tech. You can call the Samsung customer service center in your region to see what the next step could be.

Mine is doing the same but judging by your pictures, mine seems worse right out of the box new. There are also somewhat faint snowy horizontal lines increasing in width and proximity as it goes down the screen. These are stationary, don't travel and are more noticable with a dark screen. As well with mine, I can hear a steady high pitch sound when I am close or behind the display. In my opinion, louder than would be 'normal'. The retailer is going to replace the unit. PN50B530
