Samsung M3 portable drive misbehaving

by rostel32 / February 1, 2013 2:58 AM PST

I've got the Samsung M3 which is a neat little unit. It seems to have copied across all the files from my laptop but I have not been able to view the files from this drive - the manual says you can but does not tell you how and the obvious does not work. I get occasional error messages saying that The backup device has operated abnormally. My older logs have disappeared, backups seem to have stopped and the last two logs details are blank.
Is this unit knackered or have I done something. I cannot even get to factory reset.
