Samsung led TV model UN55C6500VF apps. problem.

by mark3535 / March 26, 2011 4:44 AM PDT

Hello, i have the TV shown in the subject title and have been having problems connecting apps. Here is the problem, i bought pac-man from Samsung apps., downloaded it, then went to manage apps., selected connect to connect the app. and then i find that i must have a username and password from Namco Bandai in order for this to work. So, the question is why doesn't Samsung specify that you need this info. (have a username and password) from the publisher website of the game to make it connect. The instructions i got say that you use the same ID/username and password that you use on Samsung's website to login and to connect the Samsung app. in the manage app. screen. So, i was wondering if anybody knows how to fix this, because i now have a game that i paid $5 for and downloaded on my TV and cannot use.

mark3535,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem setting up your apps. I'll be happy to look into this further, but in the meantime, the customer service center would probably be best able to handle the situation.

You can reach them at 888-899-7609, and they should be able to assist with getting your app running.

Keep me posted.

Hi, no the problem is not resolved and looks like it will not be resolved. When i contacted Samsung they more or less said they are not responsible for the pac-man Namco game and if i wanted a refund i would have to deal with Namco, in which i will probably not be able to get a refund because this was bought on a Samsung tv apps., not off of Namco themselves. So i told the rep. at the Samsung apps. support, that it looks like i am out of my $5 that i payed for this game. This is very unacceptable, and when i do my review of the television (which i have not done yet) Samsung WILL be getting blasted for their lack of info. on their apps, and i will never purchase anymore apps. again!!

mark3535,

Do you have a transaction number from your call to Samsung? I'd like to look into this and see if I can help.

If you do, post it here and I'll see what I can do.

I also want to mention that i just contacted Namco Bandai and they say they are not affiliated with the problem i am having with the Samsung app. To be honest if you could help me with anything , i would just like if possible to get my Samsung apps. account recredited, since i cannot play/use the game.

mark3535,

I am looking into this, but I'll need a way to identify and contact you if we can, and the transaction number helps us do that. Try calling back and requesting a refund. If they say no again, ask for a transaction number and post that here.

Hi, i wanted to let you know that i got the problem fixed today by Namco the game publisher. The game now works, although it is kinda hard to play pac-man using your TV remote. So, i wanted to say thanks for making an effort to help me out, unlike some of those Samsung app. tech reps. If i have any other problems, i will be sure to post it here first. Thanks again!

mark3535,

No problem, and thanks for posting back.

I'm working with one of the Apps guys to see what we can do for future issues if/when they arise, thanks to this post.

Keep us posted!
