I'm sure sorry to hear that you're having this issue right out of the box.
It is likely that there's a hardware issue.
I would see if the retailer will either exchange it or repair it. If not, you may be able to call 0845-SAMSUNG and inquire about a service call.
I have got this tv home today from the store and after I had gone though the initial set-up menu (channel search etc) the tv comes up with "check fan 1". Is this a hardware fault or a firmware fault?
Any help offered will be greatly appreciated!
