I have a Samsung LCD TV model LNT4671FX. It's 19 months old and the IP board has been replaced twice - once under warrenty! The second time the technician advised that the TV should not be on for more than 4 to 5 hours and then shut down for 15 to 20 minutes before starting up again. Apparently the capacitors overheat and fail.
Is this a problem common to all LCD TV's ?? Or just to Samsung ??
Our TV is usually on from 7:00 AM to midnight - 17 hours at a stretch. This has never been a problem with any of of previous TV's in over 40 years (all tube type)
