Resolved Question

Samsung Digimax L55W colours

by EdwinReffell / March 12, 2013 7:08 AM PDT

I am getting orange instead of red and white instead of pale lemon yellow when I take photographs indoors in daylight without a flash. How do I get my Samsung Digimax L55W to show red and pale lemon yellow instead of orange and white? I found no help for this matter in the manual.I was given the camera last night and I know nothing at all about photography. Thank you for any help.

The L55 is a very old Samsung camera.
It is one of the first cameras they made.

Since you are not familiar with the camera, I suggest you reset the camera to the factory defaults.

See page 105 of the User Manual.

White Balance

If the white balance is not correct, there will be a color cast. Most cameras are delivered from the factory with the white balance control set to automatic, but the automatic mode is sometimes tricked. You can try using the other white balance presets, or use a custom white balance setting.
