I think I've exhausted the more obvious solutions to this seemingly simple problem, and I could definitely use some other suggestions!
I have a Belkin router, a perfectly good internet modem from Comcast, and a Dell inspiron with Windows XP (about 5 years old) with an internal network card.
I'm using the internet now via an ethernet cable from the router to the computer. Earlier this afternoon, when the router was set up, I was briefly able to use the internet wirelessly but it went kaput within a few minutes. The router will no longer light up as a "wireless" connection. Under "Network Connections," Windows says it connects to the wireless network, but Firefox always answers "Page Load Error." OR, sometimes (I haven't spotted a pattern yet), Windows just says "Waiting for the network..." and never finishes.
I can view the IP / router setup page and change settings and whatnot - if I left out any important information, let me know.
My question boils down to... why is the router not routing?
