Regsvr32.exe DllRegisterServer

by DADSGETNDOWN / November 16, 2008 1:31 PM PST

Hello bloys and Girls.
I am trying to register a Wnaspi32.DLL for Nero.
So I use Start/Run type Regsver32.exe and drag the file over there.
Ends up looking like this with Parentheses.
Regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\WNASPI32.DLL"
Hit OK, then I get this error.

(RegSvr32) in the error window title.

(C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\WNASPI32.DLL was loaded, But the DLLRegisterServer entry point was not found.

C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\WNASPI32.DLL does not appear to be a .DLL or .OCX file.)

And all I can do is hit ok.
Anyway to solve this ?.

Try this: Click Start>Run then copy & paste or type in:

regsvr32 Wnaspi32.DLL

Click OK

Note there is a space after regsvr32

Hey Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately it didn't work.
It says,

LoadLibrary("Winaspi32.DLL") failed-The specified module could not be found.

That is now a thing of the past. The current version of Nero does this automagically for us when we install Nero. I can only guess your OS became damaged?

It's a not a very old install.
I do not have but 5 installed programs, I keep it clean.
I can use regsvr to register other dll's and ocx files.
I am using nero 5.5, yep it's a older version.

So you may be bumping into a very old issue. What's in Nero 5.5 that I can't do with freebies like CDBURNERXP, IMGBURN, DVD FLICK and such?

got disabled by a WMP update patch several years ago. I had it & it worked then it didn't after patch/update to WMP. Think it had to do w/ forcing everything to go thru WMP & it's DRM program. Doesn't work under SP2 either I believe. SP2 required Nero 6.1 & up? Good Luck! Happy
