My son picked up that Asus k55n ds81 and it's 380 on amazon with a 2 year drop and spill warranty. Seems nice.
I'm looking to buy a new laptop for college and I'm torn on what it is exactly that I should get. I'm on a pretty tight budget, but my requirements for what this laptop can do are pretty basic. I certainly don't need a super outrageously fast processor or graphics card as I am only looking to do college work, web surfing and netflix streaming. No photo- shop, video editing or gaming.
Right now I'm looking at three potential choices:
Acer Aspire M5 481PT New: $699
Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13 Ultrabook i5-3317U 1.7 / 2.6GHz 4GB 128G W8-64 59340248 Manufactur refurb bought through a third party licensed dealer with a 1 year Lenovo warranty: $699
Lenovo ThinkPad Twist S230u New: $699
All the same price, all touchscreen. But it is clear the Yoga is superior one but it is refurbished so is there any added risk with that? If so, how much? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
