I have a wd passport essential, and its format is fat32. I want to reformat to ntfs for use on my Mac. What is the process ?
Unless things have changed since I gladly left the Mac world behind, Mac OS X only supports reading NTFS drives, it can't write to them without third party software. If that's not a deal breaker for you, just format the drive on any Windows system and make sure to select NTFS for the filesystem. You can't do it in OS X without third party software.
