Realtek HD Audio Manager question

by ry64x / March 14, 2009 12:14 AM PDT

Okay, now here is something that has been bugging me. When I had XP on my computer, Realtek HD Audio manager looked like this and had a graphic equalizer so I could mess with the sound. But with Vista Realtek HD Audio Manager looks like this and there is no graphics equalizer. I used the same installer under both XP and Vista. Is there any way I can get the graphic equalizer back on Vista?

Does that depend

on having the proper driver for your Realtek audio card?

I don't know myself as I don't use Vista, but maybe your audio card needs a driver update.

I installed the latest driver from Realtek's site, but it still doesn't have any EQ.

Realtek Equalizer/Driver

Hope you don't mind me jumping in on this post.I have vista\realtek\inboard soundcard\current dr. 6.0.1.5374
audio mgr\speakers\sound affects in the bottom pane shows equalizer with a number of preset selections to choose from i.e. rock...pop
However I find the best adjustments can be made through the "equalizer" in your media player and I am using WMP 11.
I would like to update my "driver" but not sure how to verify the right one or the correct source.

I think you need a different version of Realtek Audio Manager for Vista in order to get the equalizer...
