Question

Qs on transferring iTunes to new pc

by Syrinx77 / September 23, 2012 4:55 AM PDT

I'm on the verge of getting a new pc laptop & I'll be transferring my iTunes library to it from my old Dell.

Would I be able to just download itunes on the new one, take the library from the back up on my external Western Digital My Book Essential, & then add it all from there?

(what's the proper way to do that from the iTunes screen, btw? File> Library>....?)

Thx!

Unless I read wrong, are they assuming there's a Mac involved in the process? I don't have one.

But you don't want to make up a method and then discover it didn't work. That's why I use Apple's article.
