But keep in mind I never use repeaters. You may be repeating the lesson why I never use them. However I do deploy access points.
In your case I think you need more support from the makers and let me be clear. I never use repeaters. Some folk think they work but I found them to often just be a pain to outright unreliable
Hi there, i'm having difficulty getting my network up and running. Attached is a layout of how I have it set.
The private PC's that are connected directly to the TD-W8961ND modem connect to the internet fine.
Anything connecting (wireless or wired) to the TL-WR1043ND router can also connect to the internet.
However, after connecting any of the 4 TL-WA830RE's in repeating mode, anything connecting to those cannot seem to get an IP assigned, and as such cannot connect to the internet. Basically anything in the "Public WiFi" area cannot connect.
The DHCP server is on the TD-W8961ND modem. DHCP is disabled on the TL-WR1043ND router and on the 4 TL-WA830RE's.
Where am I going wrong with my settings?
I have also noticed an 'AP Isolation' mode. Would this be useful for the public Wifi area? Do I set it on just the modem, the main router or on everything?
Thank you so much for your help!
