Just go to the Sony Ericsson site under phone support. Select your handset model and they have a configurator that asks for your mobile # and you provider and it sends the settings directly to the phone. No need to manually program anything. I did the same thing when I got my unlocked Sony Ericsson P910a handset.

i know how to get your internet settings for the s500i. heres what you do.
-first go to
-at the top of the page, select "electronics", then highlight "mobile communications", then under "mobile phones", select "support and drivers"
-on the next page, select the s500i from the list and it will take you to the next page
-under software and setup, select whatever settings you want sent to your phone. mobile internet (wap), email, or picture messaging.
-once you do that, its just selecting carrier and region from here on out. it will ask for your mobile number so the settings can be sent to your phone. it will be sent in a text message. once you get the text message, it will ask you to install the settings.....
