Had an external eSATA 500 gig that worked great for 3 years...started to get pixellation and recording problems about 2 weeks ago. Tech support came out, disconnected the drive, and now the external drive is not recognized--numerous re-boots do nothing...mystro comes up, gives me 3 white boxes, and then...nothing--it just stops.
Who writes mystro? how can I fix this problem? I've got over 300 hours of programs that are now toast...
I need tech support from the people that WRITE MYSTRO...nobody seems to know who this is...or they aren't saying...
PLEASE HELP ME!!
I have had a Scientifc Atlanta 8300 DVR for about a year and a half, and from the beginning the sound would periodically drop out, the picture would freeze or some channels would fail to come in. When I contacted Time Warner Cable, they told me to reboot the machine. That worked fine and so periodically I had been rebooting it. Four weeks ago I got a Western Digital DVR Expander. Everything was fine at first. However, when I needed to reboot the DVR, I lost one months worth of recordings. Nothing was disconnected to do this. ( I know you will lose recordings if the machine is disconnected)
When I contacted Western Digital, they told me it sounded like an interface problem and I needed to contact Scientific Atlanta. Scientific Atlanta told me to contact my cable company. The cable company told me, as if reading from a script, the only thing they could do would be to exchange the box.
I could get a new box and expect to in the future but now I would like to not lose the 50 hrs of movies and programs now on the machine. Any suggestions?
I need to reboot as I'm having a big problem with the picture freezing.
