problems with paling movie on wmp 11

I am re-asking this question since I forgot to put a comma in my sentence before. I am having problems when I open my file to play a movie, the wmp 11 that I downloaded opens the movie into music instead of video what am I doing wrong!

But to figure this out, you have to reveal what web link you got it from so others can see how it was encoded.

There're numerous other video players you can download and try. There's Real Player, VLC, QuickTime, Power DVD, Winamp and of course the Roxio and Nero suites.
