Question

Problem: Samsung Galaxy S2 Mini typing

by PhantomWolfDX / April 5, 2013 7:39 PM PDT

I have a question about my Phone, a Samsung Galaxy S2 Mini.

Lately, when I try to type something in Whatsapp or Text messages et cetera, it will let me type a few words. Than after that, it will seem to freeze for a few seconds, vibrate a few times and then lets me type one word. All the other words, I type after it, disappear instantly after I use space, dot et cetera.

Now I deleted all older messages, a lot of application and stuff like that, to clear memory space, but that does not seem to help.

Now does anyone have the same problem with their phone and if so, how did you fix it?

Text messages are limited in length so I expected that to happen.

Are you telling me that the seller, carrier and others never told you this?

Guess I miscommunicated about the problem.

It is not the lenght of the messages. At a certain point, it won't even let me type two words in a new dialoge. It will instantly erase the second word.

I can't tell how long the message is/was.

Still not clear but there is a limit. It's not very much for some. Did you want me to look it up?

Try this way

Do you have this problem on every place your type? or just Whatsapp?
I mean, do you have the problem while typing an Eamil or it is just Whatsapp?
If so, try re installing Whatsapp!
But if the problem still persists on all the apps, I think try restarting the phone, and first thing you do after booting is typing! (To see if the phone is having enough free Ram and memory or not)
and if it is not working either, I would go for a factory reset
