- uninstall driver, reinstall latest version (from Canon site)
- give up and find another PC with another printer (friend or family) and print there
- other printer
I used Print Screen (using XP SP3) to copy a coloured car wiring diagram from the internet, and pasted it into Word (2003)in Landscape mode. I had to do this in two stages, then crop the pasted images to create a perfect match. (I've since tried other, simpler, ways, but the end result is the same when I come to print the document, as detailed below).
I set the Print Properties to Landscape, decided it was OK on Print Preview ie filled the page as required, but on printing on my Canon Pixma 6700d, found that the printing started about 2.5" down the page, and stopped about 3" from the rh edge, as if large top and rh margins had been selected (they hadn't, at least according to Word settings, and Preview was OK). Text at the bottom of the page was also missing, but the printer didn't try to start another page to finish the document.
This happens whether set to Normal sized printing or Fit to Page printing (selected in Print Properties).
It appears to be a quirk with this printer on Landscape printing in general, as the same thing happens when I try to print an ordinary text document in Landscape mode. Portrait Mode printing is normal.
Can anyone suggest reasons and remedies, please?#
