Printer icon in toolbar doesn't work

Please help, my printer icon in the toolbar sends me to a fax wizard. I've made the default printer my actual printer and it works if I go to file/ print/ ok
Why won't it work from the toolbar?

I assume you are talking internet explorer toolbar,first try right clicking on the toolbar and left click on customize, select the print icon on the right side and remove it, then add it back and try it. Second if that does not work delete all printers and reinstall internet explorer 6, which you can download from microsoft catalogue, that should fix the print problem, if you have norton system works run windoctor first and it will fix most registry errors.

Why would there be a printer icon at the toolbar ? Where on the toolbar - left, right, middle, at quick launch ? How did it get there - manually put there or automatically when you install the printer ? Do you mean the icon which apperars at the 'system tray' when you start printing ?

If clicking it send you to the Fax Wizard, then that printer icon is somehow wrongly associated with the Fax program.

Is that so for all applications where printing is possible - e.g. MS Office, Internet Explorer, Netcscape, Mozilla, Imaging programs, etc. ?
