Question

Prewired speakers/receiver help

by rebels22 / April 28, 2013 12:14 AM PDT

I recently moved into a home that has a total of 10 prewired speakers throughout. They are all connected and there are 4 wires that come out into a hallway closet and are hooked up to a Sherwood RX-4105 stereo receiver in the speaker "A" right/left slots. This receiver works fine, but I would like to be able to play music from my iphone wirelessly through either bluetooth or airplay (I have little need for an AM/FM radio).

Are there any power requirements or watts that I would need to look for in a new receiver, and does anyone have any good suggestions of a receiver mainly for music/streaming such as this. Thanks for any help!
