Poor Toshiba support -recovery CD order cannot be canceled

by teaarts / May 25, 2010 2:54 PM PDT

I ordered a recovery CD on Toshiba web. A few hours later, when i found my original disk and also figured out my computer had harddisk problem, I called to cancel. Toshiba wouldn't do it and sent me to their customer relationship department and still nobody of that department can cancel the order for me, even though the disk was not even made.

I cannot believe the way how they treat their customers and it is unheard of. Any similar experience?

Sure. Amazon happens all the time.

The order systems have been sped up to the point it's like a vending machine. You put in your quarters and punch the button and it doesn't let you change your mind.

And those CDs are not made when you order them, it's some thing/box/package in some place to be labeled and shipped as fast as possible.

So let me get this straight. You want the order/delivery system slowed down just in case?

I had the same experience. I lost my DVD recovery disk. Went online purchased it and then after 40 mins i found it and then wanted to cancel the order. I called them and they say it is imposible to do it. This is ridiculous. I am selling the toshiba laptop and Going Buying APPLE MACBOOK PRO. TOSHIBA SUCKS. Thats why no one really likes them anymore.

Are you sure Apple will cancel your order in such a case? Or are we going to see an 'Apple sucks' post from you in a few years?
