The biggest hurdle Sony has for the PS3 is the high price. I'm not even sure why Sony gave a price cut to it in Japan over America. Last I read, Sony had a stronger fan base in Japan than in America so it would be more beneficial to lower the price in America than in Japan. Ohh well, I'm still holding out that they'll change their mind and reduce the price in America before the launch date. If they reduce the price for the 20GB version, I'll probably buy the 20GB instead of the 60GB.
For anyone buying a PS3 it probably irritates you to know they will be sold for $410 in Japan for the core version. This is almost $100 cheaper than the core version sold in the United States. I think Sony announced the core version will have an HDMI port. So, the United States will not be the cheapest source for PS3 consoles. In the words of Eric Cartman ?Nananana nana heheh heh heh heh heh?
