Picture folder settings, How to change before creating new

by auto78900 / March 14, 2010 9:55 AM PDT

I want to know how I can change folder settings for all new folders and files , before I even create the folder and do not know if this is even possible. I have attached a screen shot , look at the top where it says - size ,type , Date modified , picture taken , Dimensions,

I want it , so that when ever I create a new folder that only the following is displayed !
size and Date, is this possible and if so how ?

In Vista this is even worse because on my friends pc it always displays the Ratings and this is stupid, we do not want to see ratings for each file !
here is the screen shot

in the view menu of the folder, 3 up from the bottom is "choose details", click on it and set or remove ticks in the boxes OK your way out. It may effect new folders but I havent checked it out.

Folder options

Open any Windows Explorer folder, make the changes you want using the View menu option, or right click the header bars and selecting.

Then with Explorer still open and displaying that folder, goto Tools > Folder options. Click the View tab, and click the "Apply to all Folders" option.

See if that works.
