Panasonic KX-P3626 Dot Matrix Printer Problem

by Powerfloor / January 15, 2013 5:36 PM PST

All the lights on the front panel keep flashing, eventually after switching off and on and leaving switched off for a while it sometimes goes away.

Does anyone know what the problem may be and what the solution is?

That's an old one: has utilities for DOS and Windows 3.1 and drivers for Windows 95, 98, 2000 and NT.
So it's not really amazing if something is wrong with it after 10 years or more. offers troubleshooting (in the right column).
And usually back then they came with a printed user manual that includes a chapter about problem solving. Indeed, I see that in the online version (just page down):

If no luck, it might be time for a replacement, unless Panasonic tech service still supports it.

Thanks for looking those up, i already checked the manual and the troubleshooting section didn't cover it.

We are running it on a network via a jetpress (should have put that it the post sorry).

Any idea why this is happening intermittently?

Is it worth opening up and cleaning it with canned air and hoping for the best?

I have checked the troubleshooting guide and it wasn't helpful on this occasion.

We are running it on a network via a jetpress if that helps.
