Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work as you would think. Instead, it tends to find a suitable driver of it's own choice, NOT necessarily the best. If you'd like to keep the newest driver, simply install it and move on.

My monitor flickers on and off 3-4 times at the end of the boot up cycle,and I thought this may be "driver" related.Installing the updated driver 220.127.116.1121 from Mftr. site went smoothly,but when I did a "driver update check" in "device mgr." it reinstalled my original driver 18.104.22.16830 dated 6/19/08 My OS Vista home premium 32-bit.Is this a case of ..vista knows best.?
