Question

Nprton 360 vs?

by docyak1234 / November 6, 2012 11:11 PM PST

My McAfeee subscription just ran out. I prefer a good all in one program like norton 360, but would be willing to install multiple programs if that would give me better protection. Any advise?

the multiple programs i am referring to are a separate anti-virus, separate internet security, separate firewall, separate disk optimizer, separate parental control, separate defrag etc, (not numerous anti-virus programs)

But why not? Many folk need to control such to such degrees. No one is clear why.

From a movie I know but folk can learn why we install only one of the AV or one of the firewalls.

-> What's key here is these protections do not stop you from doing bad things. It's a PC and if you want to install a trojan, and the AV doesn't know it's a trojan, then the PC will let you do that. If you want to visit bad web sites, a PC will let you do that.

99.99 percent of the protection is about known things. But there is always new stuff and then we have the issue that it is a PC and if you want to do something, nothing will stop you.
