Sorry but after so many years I am still perplexed why folk multi-boot and want to avoid knowing what a mess this is. Imagine the angst folk feel as they research REPAIR GRUB on google.com and then wonder if its time for a CLICK HERE FIX MY DANG BOOTLOADER APP?
Nothing new here. Your machine's GRUB looks busted. Back to the web?
On my computer, i have dual booted ubuntu 10.10 32bit.
and windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.
i partitioned my drive into 2 partitions, 85 gb for ubuntu and the rest for windows 7.
Right now i am running ubuntu live off of the installation disk.
A few days ago i was using grub to boot ubuntu/ windows 7.
now all that happens is, it shows the HP logo, then shows a flashing dash, and restarts, and deos this continually.
Is the bootloader gone?
is there a way i can restore it??
this only happened AFTER i booted the live usb.
