Question

newspaper videos get no sound on iPad mini

by jolysmoke / August 1, 2013 12:43 AM PDT

A strange problem. My wife's iPad mini can play the sound from videos on YouTube and other websites, but she has taken a subscription to two leading German newspapers, downloads the issues, but finds that with the papers' videos she can see the man talking but can hear nothing. An immediate check with YT shows the sound is on and working fine. The newspapers' technicians have by phone taken here thru the preferences to see that all is switched on. It is. Still no sound!! They just can't explain it.
Would anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?

Web sites can fail like that. The web site's authors have to test on the target devices and it's not funny when they don't own such a device.
