New phone time: Galaxy S4 vs Nexus 4

by babarsac / July 15, 2013 3:11 AM PDT

So over the weekend my Samsung S2 met an untimely death on a rock while out wine tasting. I checked with AT&T and I'm eligible for an upgrade and have narrowed it down to two choices.

Samsung Galaxy S4
-$199 from AT&T
-4G LTE capability
-Expandable storage

Google Nexus 4
-$299 from Google
-Only 3G capability
-Fully unlocked with pure Android OS

While the Google phone has less capabilities and costs more upfront then the S4 I'm still leaning that way. I don't stream music or movies nor do I store tons of stuff on the phone. Anyone have any experiences with either of these phones?

..........then either device would suit you needs IMHO. Personally, I prefer the S4 considering it is $100 cheaper for you. I own one and I am very happy. Nice to have access to the LTE data network if you want or have to. I don't know which cellular carrier you use, but either phone will require a data plan.

You might as well go with an LTE device

Hands down, the LTE data network is great. Why not get what you will be paying for each month anyway(?)
