New MacGyver Movie in the works?!

by isaac.johnson / May 4, 2008 4:55 AM PDT

Lee David Zlotoff, the real life inspiration for MacGyver, announced at Maker Faire today that a big budget MacGyver movie is in the works. According to the post on Gizmodo, Zlotoff somehow ended up with the movie rights years ago, which is very uncommon.

Actor to portray iconic role
by jamesful80 / March 15, 2009 9:28 PM PDT

Even though Harrison Ford (66) pulled off the last Indy movie, and it would nice to see Richard Dean Anderson do the same thing with the franchise, I doubt he will be cast and a younger actor will most likely be chosen. If the powers that be are listening, my vote is for David Boreanaz.

As morbid as this sounds

I always wanted to be the villain that caught macGyver and shot him point blank in the lieu of placing him in an unattended cell with worthless items that can be concocted into a thermal detonator.

"Just kill the man...HE'S RIGHT FREAKIN THERE!"

him recently, lol. i mean i love him like the next guy, but it looks like mcgyvers been spending the 90s and 00s figuring out clever ways to get cheetos into his mouth instead of thwarting villains! lol
