New Galaxy Tab 2 7 inconsistent time/date

I just set up my new Galaxy Tab. I love it, except the time/date function doesn't work right. It's about six hours off and when I manually try to fix it, then some of the apps *such ad the media hub* won't work because it says there are more than 2hours 10minutes between the server and device time, and it tells me to change the time. Help!

Sorry to hear about this. So you're using the GT-P3113 (Galaxy Tab 2 7")? I see you tried setting the time manually, but have you tried to set the time zone?

Yes, I did. If I changed the time zone to my local (pacific daylight time) the time was about 6 hours ahead. Although, the time zone issue has now seemed to have resolved itself (?) However, I still cannot connect to the media hub as it gives me an error message that reads "Incorrect Time There is more than 2 hours 10 minutes difference between the server and your device, please change the under time/date settings" & it automatically opens my time/date settings, but everything is right...I'm not sure what to do.
