Im new at this so please forgive me if i miss out important information. ok here goes!
i have a desktop pc, i get my internet via wireless dongle from my neighbours router (with permission of course)
my pc is in my bedroom near my front door, closest point to my neighbors router, get full signal but only 1 bar in my living room where my xbox is situatuated. my xbox can reach the neighbors wifi but its always low signal.
when accessing files of my pc on xbox they appear slow to load, probably because its going from my pc, to my neighbour then to my xbox.
ive got my old bt homehub2 and have been messing around with it. i can share my internet connection with the xbox but not file share. when i turn internet of file sharing works.
i had to bridge the connections to make that work.
so basically heres the problem. i can use my neighbours router for internet and network but its very slow. or i can use my router and choose between internet or network. im sure one of you's has a simple solution to my problem. i would just love a great home network where we can all share files and internet connection without slow speeds. Thanks guys
