Network connection issues with Samsung UA40ES6200M TV

by Snofall / January 31, 2013 7:27 AM PST

I have bought a Samsung UA40ES6200M and i am having trouble connecting it to my network. It can recognise my local wireless network, and connect but it won't connect to the internet. I've checked, and double checked the IP settings - they are fine. My network is fine (runs alot of other devices wirelessly on it). My computer can see the TV, but my TV can't see my computer (through allshare). This is driving me absolutely mental. I also tested it through a direct wired connection and still had the same issues. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Snofall,

Thanks for your message. But just so you know, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for Singapore. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So if you want the most accurate information, here's the Samsung Singapore portal for support on that product:

Hope this helps you!

Now that's odd. That usually works unless the IP is off. I don't see any detail so I can't check the work. Some folk can't share the detail and I understand. Get the local support to work with you.

We know these are unlike your PC and other things and have found a lot of gotchas in the CNET Networking Forum from alphanumeric limitations to more.
